COVID-19 Update: Re-opening of Affinity Staffordshire

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement, Affinity Staffordshire are working towards helping more stores open their doors from the 15th June. To help us get through this first stage, we are asking all visitors and staff members to please be mindful while visiting/working at our Centre, and adhere to the guidelines implemented.

Aside from our existing cleaning and social distancing routines, a number of additional measures will be introduced to keep all visiting and working in the centre as safe as possible.

Below are details of the some of the changes we have made and how we are asking you as our customers to help.

Shopping at our Centre

Opening hours will be from  Monday – Saturday (10am – 6pm) and Sundays (11am – 5pm). Please note that this may be subject to change and store opening times may differ.

At the Centre, we have implemented a one way system at the Homebargains entrance with floor markers, hand sanitiser stations and information posters. We kindly ask all visitors and staff to please follow these simple guidelines and use the hand sanitiser stations provided around the centre to practice good hygiene.

If possible, face coverings can be worn during your time shopping with us. We ask you to dispose of these as required. There is a bin available as you exit the centre as well as multiple around the mall.

During this first phase, you may find that not all stores will be open on the 15th June and opening times may differ.  If you are making a special visit for a particular retailer, please contact that store ahead of your visit to avoid disappointment as opening times will differ. You can find store contact details, HERE.

Each store will be operate their own Coronavirus procedure in accordance to Government guidelines including sanitising regimes, PPE and limiting the number of people inside each unit. If you arrive and a store is full, please queue outside the store on the markers provided to help us maintain social distancing. To further maintain social distancing, we may have to restrict the length of the queues. Please be patient if this happens as all measures are for the safety of all in the centre.

Chill & Relax Area, Soft Play and Seating Areas

To coincide with Government guidelines, all children’s rides and play equipment – including the soft play and activity area on the upper level of the mall – will remain closed. The benches around the mall have also been removed to discourage groups gathering.

Public Toilets & Baby Changing Facilities

Both the public toilets and baby changing facilities will remain open. These will be deep cleaned daily and checked each hour.

The public toilets do have a limited number of public toilets available. You will find that alternate sinks and cubicles will remain out of order to encourage social distancing. Please utilise these where appropriate and respect the social distancing measures put in place.

Wheelchair Hire

Unfortunately, during this time, we cannot offer this service. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Your shopping experience with us will be different than before and is likely to remain this way for period of time. As we move through this phase, we will listen to feedback and adjust our measures where appropriate, whilst working to the Government’s guidelines. Please remain patient with our staff and our teams when you visit our Centre and help us maintain the safety of all visiting and working at Affinity Staffordshire.

Keep an eye on our social media accounts for more details to follow. We will update this web page as and when necessary.

Thank you for your continued support during this time. Keep smiling and keep your distance.
