From Wednesday 16th October, our Centre supporting Staffordshire’s most talked about T4U shoebox appeal!
Supported by local radio stations, Signal 1 and 2 as well as local primary schools across Staffordshire and Cheshire, this year our Centre will be jumping on board to help deliver Christmas presents to deprived communities across the world.
If you and /or your local group/community want to take part, simply visit The Fragrance Shop at our Centre to claim your free shoebox ahead of the festive season! If you need more than one, do not worry! You can also ask staff from our Pavers Shoes, Clarks Outlet and Charles Clinkard stores for additional empty shoeboxes!
When you’re done, simply return your box to either The Fragrance Shop or the Management Suite on the upper level of the mall and we will arrange for it to be collected.
“What’s the process of the shoebox appeal? “
Visit the The Fragrance Shop to claim either a flat-pack or empty shoebox – preferably medium size – and choose who you would like to donate it to – a boy, girl or a home – by filling out the label supplied by our stores or you can download additional labels from their website here.
You can then fill your shoebox with either household essentials, festive gifts, games, treats and more, and decorate your shoebox accordingly. To find out what you can and cannot put in your shoebox, please click here. For universal gift ideas, simply click here and download the ‘Universal Shoebox Content’ section.
Make your donation via the leaflets supplied by our stores listed above or at www.teams4u.com.
Drop off your shoebox to either The Fragrance Shop or the Management Suite at our Centre.
“How many shoeboxes were raised last year?”
Last year, the teams at T4U collected and delivered a total of 51,315 shoeboxes! Together both our customers and staff filled, decorated and collected a phenomenal 210 shoe boxes to families last year. This year, we aim to raise even more!
“Where did my shoebox go to last year?”
Shoeboxes last year were delivered to some of the most deprived communities of Eastern Europe and Africa. Below you can see photos taken from Teams4U last year.
“What’s the shoebox appeal about?”
“It is over 25 years since the Cooke family originated the idea of the ‘Christmas Shoebox’, asking children in the UK to fill shoeboxes with stocking fillers for Romanian orphans.
In 2015, we celebrated the 25th Anniversary and returned to Cluj-Napoca, Romania to re-visit Dave’s original partner from 1990 Liviu Balas, and brought shoeboxes to the marginalised communities there. The current need is still extraordinary and the power of the shoebox has never faded.
Please be a part of this ongoing story that is continuing to impact and change lives by donating a shoebox to this year’s appeal!” – Teams4U.
