Your FAQs: Shopping at Clarks made safer

Following the re-opening phase, the team at Clarks have taken on board your queries regarding the store’s new shopping procedure. Below are a list of FAQs which we hope will answer most of your questions. We will continue to update this page as and when necessary – your feedback on this page is much appreciated.

Store operation FAQs

Will I have to queue to get in?

Possibly. In compliance with government guidelines, Clarks will be restricting the number of people allowed in each store at any one time.

What safety measures are put in place?

For your safety, the team at Clarks will be cleaning the store more frequently. PPE is provided to staff who wish to use it, however this is a compulsory measure when fitting children’s shoes. Social distancing markers and an entrance and exit system is also put in place to help customers maintain social distancing.

How do I pay?

You can still pay at the till. Contactless purchases are preferable, however if absolutely necessary, cash, chip & pin, and love to shop will be accepted. A 2 metre box is taped on the floor at either end of the till to encourage staff and customers to socially distance during the transaction period.

Kids Shoes FAQs

Are Clarks still measuring children’s shoes?

Yes, you can still get your child’s feet measured at Clarks Outlet, however the process will be different than usual.

In compliance with government guidelines, Clarks will operate a physical distancing rule in all of their stores. Because of this, Clarks have revised their ‘measure and fit’ process to ensure it takes as little time as possible, while also implementing some additional safety measures.

How will Clarks be keeping my child safe during this process?

Clarks’ expertly trained fitters will still be on hand to help you, but now they’ll use a fitting screen to reduce proximity and wear PPE during the whole process. When measuring children’s shoes, it is compulsory for the designated staff member to wear a mask, visor and gloves when measuring and fitting. If you’d rather keep a distance of two metres, your fitter will be more than happy to advise you on how to check for the perfect fit yourself.

Do I have to book an appointment to have my child’s shoes measured?

There is no need to book an appointment when visiting the Clarks Outlet store at our Centre. Simply follow the guidelines in store and a member of staff will be there to assist you. If your child requires a quieter time, please feel free to ring the store and book an appointment. The appointment can be arranged for 20 minutes before the store is due to open.

Adult Shoes FAQs

Can I still try on shoes?

Yes. Upon arrival, Clarks will ask all customers to first use the sanitising station provided. There will be pop socks provided for customers to wear when trying on their shoes. If the shoes you have tried on aren’t to your satisfaction, simply dispose of these in the ‘Cleaning and Disinfection’ bucket provided. These will then be removed and disinfected before going back onto the shelf.

What if I don’t like shoes I’ve purchased?

You can still return your shoes. The returns policy is 28 days from purchase and 14 days for sale items.

I’ve purchased shoes before lockdown and I want to send them back. Can I still return these?

If you have purchased your shoes before Clarks Outlet closed their doors for lockdown, you can still return your items. Clarks have extended their returns policy to 30 days from the date of re-opening (15th June).
